Mick and I have been very good friends for over sixty years. We have shared many good times and experiences over the years either together, or with our partners and friends.

Pauline and I have enjoyed many ski holidays with the “Beatties”. Eventually we became known as the “House Party” comprising of both families and extended friends.

Mick was a careful skier. No risks taken.  Whilst the majority of us would ski down, blues, reds and even black pistes as fast as we could, Mick would take full advantage of the wide open blue pistes which enabled him to take as many wide turns as possible. Consequently, in 15 years approximately, Mick never ever fell over. His other alternative was to seek out Ski Wegs (paths), ski them, eventually popping back on to the piste further down the mountain. These paths became known as a “Micky Run”. Even today we refer to an easy ski path as a “Micky Run”.

Pauline and myself along with my sons, Tony and Phillip, have so many memories of wonderful times together with Mick and all his family. Too numerous to mention. We want to say, ‘A very big Thank you Mick’ and we wish we could do it all again.
